Why Downsize?

88% of people age 50-80 want to stay in their homes as long as possible (ncoa).  However, there are dozens of factors that make doing so difficult.  Ailments, caregiving, safety, finances, and the physical ability to access one's entire home are all important considerations.

Many homeowners and their families decide that moving to a continuing care facility, such as an independent or assisted living facility, is the best option.  And for many it is!

We have decided to collaborate our services to provide another option for seniors in this situation.  One that ultimately creates a residence that has been renovated considering the specific needs of the couple or individual who will be using it.

Our clients have the opportunity to create a superior living space, but will also benefit from...

  • The asset of a home.

  • Funds for caregiving from the proceeds of selling their existing home.

  • Funds for renovations from the same proceeds.

  • The ability to choose their caregivers.

  • Privacy and the ability to host friends and family.

  • Additional space for storage and hobbies.

  • An opportunity to create an income property or live-in-care quarters.

  • Lower monthly expenses, such as their mortgage, heating bills, and property taxes.

  • Lower monthly expenses when compared to a continuing care facility.
